PHILOSOPHY

The power of touch goes so much deeper than we think. It is through intuitive and purposeful touch that our bodies can feel safe to let go and receive.

Certified Rolfer® of the Rolf® Institute of Structural Integration in Boulder, CO with over 12 years experience as a licensed Massage Therapist, Yoga Instructor and Reiki 1 practitioner.

My interest in holistic body work sparked at a young age of 15 during my competitive swimming years. After recovering from a partial knee replacement surgery, I grew an inner awareness of subtle sensations sparked during physical therapy sessions. I became interested in how the body was deteriorating during the recovery process in a straight leg brace and what it took to build muscle, coordination and trust back up afterwards. It was the process of healing which led me to fall in love with the study of human anatomy and how the body is put together to function as a whole.

My extended background provides a felt educational touch to the physical and energetic body offering a unique healing experience. I believe my passion for physical health, and innate understanding of the human body helps assure each session to be tailored to fit the individual client and their bodies needs.

"It's not about how deep you go, but how you go deep"

Relax. Release. Restore.

What is "Rolfing®"?

Rolfing® is a holistic approach to body work where we look at and take into consideration the WHOLE structure, in order to find the root cause of an issue or misalignment. It is a combination of hands on soft tissue manipulation, movement education and perceptual cues intended to relieve excess neuromuscular tension. Rolfing® provides time for your tissue and nervous system to settle in and reorganize itself using slow, firm and deliberate touch and holding.

We observe the body through movement to find where there might be a “stuckness”. Where Chiropractors work with bones and Massage therapists work with muscles, Rolfers work with the fascial system. Our fascial system connects us from head to toe wrapping around and between our muscles, organs and bones. If you change the fascial tissue, the bones, muscles, joints respond by also changing and shifting. Rolfing® ultimately aids to create better alignment, body awareness and coordinative patterns through fascia mobilization, differentiation and body education.

Rolfing® can help your body feel and move better.
